We are a women’s fashion and lifestyle brand with a modern laidback sense of style, an easy-going attitude, and a positive outlook on life. Lemon Tree Design was founded in 2013 by Sue O’Kane, a 3rd generation designer from Newcastle, England. Sue has an immense background in fashion from constructing garments in her parents' factory, designing and educating students of New Castle College to then working for well-known fashion brands such as Laura Ashley and Ted Baker.

Upon moving to New Zealand and learning about the NZ fashion industry, Sue realised the immense difference in garment cost, quality, and value. Driven by passion and the need to provide kiwi women with timeless, high quality fashion at affordable prices, Lemon Tree Design was founded.

We believe that every woman should be able to look and feel her best, every day. Our collection is a designer capsule wardrobe built from effortless mix and match staples, in quality fabrics and prints. Designed with the kiwi woman in mind, we hold each garment’s quality to the highest standard ensuring that each piece is made to love and last.

From one woman in a small room under the stairs, to a beautiful and modern office space with a team of seven dedicated in-house professionals, Lemon Tree Design has grown rapidly. We are a team of energetic, kick-ass, talented women, celebrating the women of Aotearoa and beyond, and providing them with clothes that allow them to feel their best every day.
